About VirtualDMV

VirtualDMV (virtualdmv.us) is a service of DMV.org that provides free guidance, checklists, and tools to help you navigate DMV processes across the United States. VirtualDMV is not a government agency. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any state Department of Motor Vehicles, Motor Vehicle Commission, or similar government body.

Acceptance of Terms

By using VirtualDMV, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

Information Accuracy

We strive to provide accurate, up-to-date information about DMV fees, forms, deadlines, and procedures for all 50 states. However:

• Our content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice.
• DMV rules, fees, and forms change frequently. While we update our data regularly, there may be a delay between when a state changes its requirements and when we reflect that change.
• Always verify current requirements with your state's official DMV/MVC website before taking action.
• We are not responsible for errors, omissions, or outdated information, or for any consequences resulting from reliance on our content.

Form Pre-filling

Where available, we may offer to pre-fill official government forms with information you provide. We use only official state DMV forms — we never create substitute or unofficial forms. You are responsible for reviewing all pre-filled information for accuracy before submitting any form to a government agency.

Partner Services

We may recommend third-party services (such as insurance providers, title transfer services, vehicle history report providers, or auto loan companies) that are relevant to your DMV transaction. These are presented as optional alternatives and are clearly identified as partner offers.

• We do not endorse or guarantee any third-party service.
• Your use of any partner service is governed by that partner's own terms and privacy policy.
• We are not responsible for any transaction, service quality, or dispute between you and a third-party partner.
• We only share your information with a partner when you explicitly choose to interact with them (e.g., clicking a partner link or submitting a partner form).

Email Communications

If you provide your email address, you consent to receive your requested checklist and related follow-up communications. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and trademarks on VirtualDMV are owned by DMV.org or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use of your own checklists and PDFs.

User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use our service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract content from our site
• Interfere with the operation of our service
• Impersonate any person or entity

Disclaimer of Warranties

VirtualDMV is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DMV.org and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of VirtualDMV, including but not limited to missed deadlines, incorrect fee estimates, rejected applications, or any other outcome resulting from reliance on our content.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of VirtualDMV after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
